CrossFit 864 – Rest Day

Hope that all of you have a great weekend and you are able to get a little extra rest and enjoy a lot of family time. If you are really on track with your nutrition (as many of you are right now) make sure that you are stocked up on plenty of good quality Paleo options. Most of you start off the week with good intentions for eating well but have no real plan and by Monday afternoon you find yourself starving with nothing prepared (at least not with you at the time) and you see the big golden arches staring at you and the next thing you know someone is saying “can I take your order please” …..You guys work too hard day after day to blow all of your hard work and results by filling your body with junk. Your body needs quality nutrition to repair after every workout whether its a strength workout, metcon or running WOD. Get your game plan together on Sunday for the following week and at least have the basics for each day (meat, green veggies, and good fats) and you can get creative. Check out Paleo 864 on Facebook and share your recipes and ask questions.

The marathon training is off to a good start. Yes, there will be some longer runs Incorporated over the next few weeks. Push the short ones as hard as possible and log your times/distance so that you will have a way to gauge your progress. Push your CrossFit WODs hard!

Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.
-Psalm 37:1-2

6. Thank God every morning when you get up that you have something to do which must be done, whether you like it or not. Being forced to work, and forced to do your best, will breed in you temperance, self-control, diligence, strength of will, content, and a hundred other virtues which the idle never know.
-Charles Kingsley

Today’s off the wall fact that probably means nothing to anyone is:
If you fill a standard 750ml wine bottle with live hornets, their angry buzzing will resonate at precisely the right frequency to shatter the glass.

BE STRONG!
